Promoter, Ike Enwereuzor
seen in the picture with with Hall of Famer Pernell Whitaker nicknamed "Sweet Pea",
has recently been involved with several boxing events involving some big
names in America and Britain.
Ike
Enwereuzor is one of very few Promoters from Africa who have made it into
the International Boxing circles mingling with the boxing industry's big
names and hopefuls.
ABOUT
WHITAKER: Pernell "Sweet Pea" Whitaker was inducted into the International Boxing Hall of Fame in June 2007. As a lightweight, he captured the silver medal in the 1982 world amateur championship. Then won Gold medals at 1983 Pan American Games and 1984 Olympics. As an amateur he compiled an impressive record of 201 wins, 14 losses with 91 knockouts.
He made his professional boxing debut 1984 at Madison Square Garden, New
york City. Whitaker, who won the world championship in four different weight classes won his first belt in 1989. He retired with a record of (40-4-1) 17KO's..
