Introducing Kingsley Ogunde and the kingsmen - Born To Sing

   Kingsley Ogunde, as you all know is already a household name in the entertainment industry right from Nigeria in Africa, now based in the United States. Born in Lagos to both Delta state parents, Kingsley is a complete and talented artist, a songwriter, instrumentalist, fine artist, who wrote every song in all his 5 (five) albums. He produces himself before and after he left SONY Music where the Ace producer Laolu Akins produced one of his albums "ARE YOU SURE" during his 3yrs contract with the company.

Kingsley Ogunde's kind of music is called the kingsmen music to trill both Christian congregation and social gatherings. The award winning singer was the first gospel artist to win the award of the best sonorous singer in 1991, nominated in the famed award as one of the best artist 1995, best contemporary artist 1997, awarded best African gospel artist in the United States 2001. Kingsley who is well known for his energetic and powerful stagecraft is not only a concert material but also a blessing to both churchgoers and non-churchgoers. That is why The Gospel Musician Association of Nigeria (GOMAN) named him the commander of gospel music. His kind of music is packed with afro/highlife/ electrifying juju with western instrument and local percussions.

Kingsley's band consist 8-10 men on stage at a time. He is mostly seen at weekends, in functions like Birthday parties, weddings parties, Church Anniversaries, Banquets, community and social functions he has just released the Vedio/DVD of his latest record "I WILL DANCE LIKE THIS."
